We're super excited to announce that on Wednesday February 24th, One HealthTech's Student Hub will be hosting it's very first event!
You can sign up and find out more here
When we sat down to discuss what our first event should be the main theme that kept coming up was careers so we were keen to make that the subject. The One Healthtech community is made up of thousands of people across the world who work in Healthtech so we were also pretty confident that we could find some incredible speakers to help us showcase some of the options for students who would like to pursue a career in HealthTech.
So far we've certainly succeeded with the incredible speakers. You'll be hearing about:
Careers in data and informatics Rohini Mathur, Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Rohini is an epidemiologist specialising in the use of large real-world databases to examine health inequalities. She's also a member of the OpenSAFELY collaborative working on a range of COVID-19 related projects. You can pop on over to her Twitter to find out more.
Careers in Diagnostics from Sarah Kerruish, Chief strategy Officer at Kheiron Medical. Kheiron are using novel deep learning methods and radiology insights to detect breast cancer. Sarah was also involved in the making of General Magic - a documentary about a secretive Silicon Valley start-up called ‘General Magic’, which spun out of Apple in 1990 to create the “next big thing”. You can also follow Sarah on Twitter.
We're also waiting for confirmation from speaker who'll provide you with an introduction to careers in Policy & Ethics, Health IT Infrastructure, Data & Informatics, AI and Telehealth. Stay tuned for updates!
